I am heading out of town again soon, so I have to get all my cards for upcoming occasions done. This card combines Heart2Heart "April Showers Bring May Flowers" and Mojo Monday Sketch 239.
All stamps and supplies by CTMH except as noted below. I used the stamp set Unscripted which has got to be one of my all-time favorite sets.
Nitty gritty details: Card is 4.25" square, Sunkiss mat is 4" square, and white center is 3.75" square run through a Cuttlebug folder I clear embossed the flower border then did a double resist using Spring Green and Sunkiss inks. Sunkiss center border is 1 5/8 x 4", white is 1 3/8 x 4" (only because I had a scrap piece of white which happened to be that width so I cut the Sunkiss a quarter inch wider, but it worked perfectly for the embossed edge and center ribbon). All edges were sponged with Spring Green.
The sentiment is from Say It In Style stamped in Momento Rich Cocoa. I used the label from Unscripted but cut the "Family for all seasons" out using a razor blade so I can just have the border. I then used my Sunkiss and Spring Green markers to color directly on the flowers to go under the sentiment. Because Sunkiss is so light, I went back over the flowers with my marker. I also sponged the label edge with Spring Green.
The bow is wrapped with Stampin' Up Baker's twine (Lucky Limeade). I intended to tie a little bow but was having a terrible time. Not sure why I decided to do the wrapping, but I really like it.
One card down, about twenty to go!
Until next time,
Becca
Lovely card! I particularly like the stitching you added - and I agree, the wrapping is a cute idea! Thanks for sharing with us at H2H!
ReplyDeleteI love that you combined the two challenges! There are a lot of great details in your card. TFS
