My husband recently turned 55. I'd had my idea for his card for a long time, and it turned out exactly like I planned...
To create the Speed Limit part, I used my Cricut. I used the new centering feature with text. I forget which font I used, but I'm pretty sure it's one that comes with Cricut Design Space. For the numbers, I used Block Number Thin Cuts, which will retire in five days so get them quick. After cutting the top panel, I cut the corners using scallop edge scissors. It was a little painstaking to line up the scallop so only a small bit got rounded, but it really made the card look exactly like a speed limit sign. I did the same on the black cardstock. I glued the white top layer to the black, then glued both onto my card base.
On the inside I wrote, "Congratulations! You're finally up to speed." My husband roared with laughter. Score!!
Until next time,
Becca
This is the most FABULOUS thing I've seen all week...lol...can't stop laughing!!!
