This week, the challenge over at Color My Heart uses colors from the new CTMH Calypso paper pack. I used an older stamp and the challenge colors for this card:
I squeezed ink color into the lids of my stamp pads and painted color into the image with a watercolor brush. After trimming out the image, I mounted it with foam tape on a 4.25x4.25 card base with the front panel cut back and bordered with Cotton Candy paper cut with pinking shears. The black paper on the inside panel of the card has been retired for a long time.
Love the fun color combo that shouts, "SUMMER!"
Until next time,
I love seeing the use of retired stamps and paper packs because it gives me a glimpse of how CTMH evolved. Thanks for shring your pretty card with us at Color Dare!ReplyDelete
What a fun and adorable card! I love the strip of black on the right side. Thanks for joining us at Color My Heart this week. We love it when you share your artwork!ReplyDelete
A fun card! I like that the front is shorter and the birthday panel overlaps. The small pink border is a great touch. Thanks for taking a Color Dare.ReplyDelete
I recognize that old stamp and the paper! You did a great job of combining all the challenge colors in a fun way. I recognize the "pinking sheared" paper edge too! Thanks for playing along with us again at the Color Dare!ReplyDelete
Becca - You did a beautiful job on this card. All the details are magnificent! Thank you for joining the color dare - see you back soon!ReplyDelete
I did my watercoloring the same way you did because I feel more comfortable with using less water. Great job and coloring. Bright and fun card. Thanks again for sharing and love to see your next color challenge with us.ReplyDelete
