oh, hello

No stamping on this one.  I used the Art Philosophy cartridge for this week's Color My Heart card with Laughing Lola paper.  Since Heart2Heart decided to do a challenge making the sentiment the focus, I've linked it up there, too.

I used the "weld" feature to create the sentiment, then cut a the three purple letters separately using the "flip" feature to make sure the letters were identical.  The white dots were added with a gel pen, the sequins were colored with Copics to match the paper.

I have to give a shout-out to Marie Flayer for sending me the Laughing Lola paper.  It's always nice to have friends who help you out in a pinch.

Until next time,
Becca

  1. I really like your sentiment without stamping. The dots on the letters are super cute! I really like the scattered sequins too and the way you colored them.

  4. Great use of the lettering features on the cricut. I haven't done much with letters, but this card inspires me!

  5. Love the use of perforated letters for this card--goes along with the paisley elements in the LL paper. And I am drooling over your stash of sequins...

    1. My "stash" of sequins consists of 1 small black, 1 small white, 1 large black, and 1 large white. I use my Copic/alcohol markers to customize the white sequins. It's cheaper than trying to buy a whole package with every color I might want. :)

  6. Egads! You can color sequins too!?!?! Oh this is trouble...trouble indeed. Sigh. I HAVE to tell you that I am crazy about your card before I go find some white sequins to purge my savings on....THANKS! ;)

    1. Yep...and I learned a really great trick at Card Camp. On scratch paper, swipe a line of adhesive. Make sure it's not so sticky it won't give up the sequins when you're done, but you can lay down a line of sequins on it and color without them moving all over the place.

  7. This sentiment really pops! I love how you cut the letters out of both sides of the paper. Coloring sequins? I'm with Aimee. Now I have to find some white sequins. I love how your twine embellishment at the beginning compliments rather than takes over.
