May/June New Products Blog Hop

Welcome to the May-June New Products Blog Hop. You should have come from Darly's Crafty Happy blog, but it's okay if you started here. The hop is a circle, so keep going until you get back to where you started. Head over to Melinda's If You Bling It blog for a full list of participants if you get lost along the way.

I'm over the top in love with the new Hillside Cottage collection of products. I bought it all.

Yep. In love!! I debated whether or not to show you everything I've made and decided...why not? First up are some cards.

I started by cutting a 4.25 x 5.5 piece of the background paper. I then used the new Circle Thin Cuts to create the window opening for this shaker card. I also used the largest Stitched Rectangle Thin Cut in White Daisy cardstock. I attached a full sheet of shaker window acetate, then used 3D foam tape around the entire circled area so my sequins didn't go everywhere behind my card. I glued a smaller piece of the pink background paper to my card base, piled some sequins in the space where my cut out was, then mounted the top panel over the card base, trapping the sequins inside. I topped it with the goose from Hillside Cottage-Cardmaking with Thin Cuts and then tucked the sentiment banner into the frame.

The circle here is my leftover piece from the first card. It was absolutely coincidental that it framed the watering can so well, but hey...you make enough cards and you're bound to get a happy coincidence once in a while! I added the sentiment in White Embossing powder. I backed it with the Scallop Circle Thin Cut then backed it again with the largest circle from the new Circle Thin Cuts in White Daise, mounted it to a panel of pink background paper with the piece of stamped Blue Belle cardstock already glued down. I then ran the whole thing through the largest Stitched Rectangle Thin Cuts and glued it to my card base. Black Liquid Pearls finished off the embellishing.

While I had the Scallop Circle Thin Cut and Circle Thin Cuts out, I cut the background for this cut bird. I stamped her in Blue Belle then used colored pencils to fill in the flower image on her belly.

And then this happened...

I went to my daughter's house on the exact day her husband was bringing home a used playhouse she found online. Talk about a happy coincidence! The Paprika color of the playhouse, my granddaughter's black and white top, and the sentiment from the Hillside Cottage Cricut Collection were all perfect for scrapbooking this memory.

As you can see, I went to town embellishing with images from the Cricut collection, the wood shapes, the Black and White enamel dots and stamps from the Cardmaking Workshop, and a few peeking tabs from the Tags and Tabs Thin Cuts.

Like I said. Every. Single. Thing.

But I'm also in love with the new Mix-In Paper, the Leaf Layers Thin Cuts, and the Spot-On Sentiments, so here's the next batch of things I made...

Here's a process picture for you, because you might not recognized all the patterns of paper used here.

I love my tags. LOVE them, but I have to admit that there are a lot of them on that page with just tags. So...this! And then with the leftovers, I made...

and when I was all done, this is what my piece of paper looked like...

Now, there are two halves of this paper because I can only run a partial page through my die cutting machine at one time, so imagine another half sheet that looks like this. I think I still have some tags left!

On the scrapbook page, I also used Nursery Days stamps, Woodgrain Paper, and the Pennant Banner Alphabet with Thin Cuts. On the card, I added the scalloped circle from the Waterfall Card Thin Cuts along with the Spot-On Sentiments.

There's more. LOTS more. But I didn't photograph all of them. I just couldn't stop playing. I think I might need to get another package of the Mix-In Paper...and maybe some more of the Hillside Cottage Paper. And after I visit the rest of the blog hop, starting with Kim's Scrappin With Heart blog, I'm going to need some more...?

Until next time,
